About the Artist
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest amongst the mossy trees and islands of the Puget Sound, I loved riding bikes, skateboarding, snowboarding and began to surf in my 20’s. I was drawn to graphic arts, photography, painting and drawing for my whole life.
I had my first art show in 2001 at the Alibi Room in Seattle, Wa and went on to have several coffee shop shows after that.
I studied Printmaking, Photography, drawing and graduated from the University of Washington School of Arts in 2005. I built a silkscreen studio in my apartment and focused on silkscreen art as my medium. I continued to have annual shows and displayed my work around Seattle.
In 2011 I moved to Truckee, California to pursue small-town mountain life and be closer to more ski areas and continue to focus on my work. In the move my work evolved to include elements of silkscreen and printmaking but took a direction more informed by painting, working with hand built wood frames, stencils and photo transparencies.
My work currently is focused on outdoor scenes from my personal adventures and travels. They honor the moment of inspiration and aim to prolong the awe and to inspire the viewer to seek their own adventures.
